Member Policy

If you are interested in finding answers to any of the following five questions, become a member TGCI:

1. How can I act more responsibly as a citizen of the globe?

2. How can I better contribute to and advocate for policies and programs that benefit the whole planet?

3. How can I become more engaged with institutions involved in global governance?

4. Where can I meet people who share my interest in global citizenship and work with them to build a better planet?

5. How can I become better informed about activities and events that influence how we live and work with one another as a global community?

Membership Benefits

Registered members have access to a network of people around the world interested in collaborating with one another to build world community and promote global citizenship; can engage with other members in global citizenship projects and activities, as described on the TGCI website; Have access to a series of webinars with experts on different issues aimed at developing global solutions to global problems; get up to date information on global issues, global people, and world community events; and are eligible for participation in TGCI leadership training courses.

Member Responsibilities

All members are asked to support the principles and values of global citizenship, as described on the Home Page of the TGCI website and listed below.

* Such values include a commitment to basic human rights; religious pluralism; participatory governance; protection of the earth’s environment; sustainable world-wide economic growth; poverty alleviation; humanitarian assistance; elimination of weapons of mass destruction; cessation and prevention of conflicts between countries; preservation of cultural diversity.

We know your privacy is important to you, and we want you to know that it is important to us too. We created this Privacy Policy to explain the types of information we collect through Theglobalcitizensinitiative.org, how we will use and protect this information once it is collected, and how you can opt-out of some of our uses of your information. The types of Personal Information we collect include, for example, name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, text message or SMS address, and certain demographic information.?We do not collect credit or debit card information. Any credit or debit card information you submit in order to make a donation at theglobalcitizensinitiative.org is collected by a third party donation processor, currently Paypal, who will use this information only to immediately process your donation. We do not collect or retain credit or debit card information.

Theglobalcitizensinitiative.org is designed for registered voters who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 13. If you feel that we have unknowingly collected information from someone under the age of 13, please contact us immediately and this information will be removed.

How do we use your information? We and our trusted partners acting on our behalf may use the information we collect from and about you to: process your donations administer or develop theglobalcitizensinitiative.org site and your account with us respond to your requests, questions, and concerns send you communications, including information about products, services, and events (offered by us and others) that we think might interest you protect our rights and property
